What We Do.

Mid Winter Retreat

January 18-20, 2013

The MidWinter tradition takes place every January as several Baptist churches from the Waco area come together for a weekend youth retreat full of Bible Study, worship, recreation, and the occasional variety show!

MIDWINTER RETREAT 2013: January 18-20

Theme: "Common"

This year we will ask the questions, "What is it that binds us together as Christians? When we say 'we,' who are we talking about? What do we, as Christians, hold in [common]?"

We will spend our Bible study hours reading and studying about the Christ that we hold in common, the faith that binds us together. We will also have worship services in which we consider our common story, common gathering, common Lord's Supper, and our common baptism. All of this with the hope that we can better understand those things around which the body of Christ unites.

Summer Activites

There always countless ways that our youth serve our church during the summer (Children's Bible Club, Music Camp, Advocacy Camp, etc.). So in some ways, every week of Calvary's summer activities is an opportunity for a great adventure.

Calvary's youth are invited to help in facilitating and leading in apects of Calvary's summer children's programming, as well as many activities uniquely for our students.

Aloha Weekend

August 17-19

"Aloha" Weekend is Calvary Youth's chance to celebrate both the "hello" and "goodbye" that each new school year brings.

Taking place in mid-August, just before school begins, this welcoming of the new 7th graders and celebrating of our Seniors takes place the Friday and Saturday leading up to promotion Sunday in our Sunday School classes.

This is a great chance for the youth to welcome a new group of students, to get to know them, and to introduce them to what our church family is all about.

Disciple Now

Disciple Now is a weekend in which youth stay in homes, divided by age and gender, and spend a weekend in in-depth Bible study in small groups, join together several times for worship, service projects, games, and have a blast while pursuing authentic discipleship.
