Project H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Excel) exists to unite the students of West Avenue Elementary with committed adults in relationships that help the child succeed in school and in life because “Who knows what God has given us in this child…”

Goal: To provide a caring, reliable adult in a child’s life, to inspire HOPE and academically motivate the student.

Project HOPE facilitates and trains community volunteers to mentor students at West Avenue Elementary. Mentoring sessions last a minimum of one hour per week for one year. Mentors will work with students in a classroom setting to help the student improve academically and help provide accountability for the student.

Every few months Calvary hosts a yard sale in the parking lot. This is an opportunity for Calvary members and neighbors in the community to sell their own things and keep the profits for themselves. Watch the announcements for a date for the next Calvary yard sale.

Each year Calvary members partner with others to provide food, fun, and fellowship for children and families on Colcord Ave. This is a special time for Calvary and the surrounding neighborhood.
